What
kind of placements are available through Personnel Staffers? Personnel
Staffers recruits for a variety of positions. We mainly specialize in office
support such as secretaries, accounting, and data entry to name a few. We also
do placements in customer service, sales and occasionally management. If you
are attempting to fill a position, we will inform you right away if we can fill
the request and we will also work with employers on more specialized searches.
We have access to several recruiting resources that allow us to advertise jobs
and get fast responses from job seekers. We do not divulge the names of any
of the companies that we are recruiting for unless the applicant has applied
in person, signed our agreement and is a valid candidate for that position.

When
am I charged a fee from Personnel Staffers? Personnel Staffers assesses
a bill rate for all Temp-to-Hire positions and a flat finders fee for Direct
Hire placements. You are not charged until the person actually reports to work
for a Temp-to-Hire position or an acceptance for an offer is received for a
Direct Hire position.

What jobs do you consider "temporary"? A "temporary" position is one that will eventually end. It could be for one or two days, one or two weeks, six weeks, or even several months. Typically a company will request a temporary associate for coverage for vacations, maternity leaves, sick leaves, and seasonal or peak times. Back to top Home
What is the difference between a "temporary" position and a "Temp-to-Hire" position? A "temporary" position is one with an end date or will eventually end. A "Temp-to-Hire" position is one, in which the company's intention is to fill the position on a permanent basis but would like the opportunity to evaluate an employee before making an offer of employment. Occasionally a "temporary " position turns into a "Temp-to-Hire" position. Back to top Home
What
is the Temp-to-Hire program? The Temp-to-Hire program allows you
to "try out" an employee before they become a regular employee on
your staff. Your company contracts for an associate and pays an hourly bill
rate. If you wish to make an offer of employment, there is no additional fee
to you, after the 500 hour requirement is met. If you wish to make an
offer of employment before the 500 hours, you will receive credit towards
the hiring fee. Credit is based on the number of hours worked in your office.
After either the 500 hours or the pro-rated fee obligation has been fulfilled,
the Personnel Staffers' associate becomes your employee.

What
is involved if I chose to make a Direct Hire? If you prefer a Direct
Hire situation, Personnel Staffers will conduct an employee search for a reasonable
flat fee. We will advertise your position on our hotline and website and prescreen
candidates for you. The procedure will be the same as it is with any of our
placements. You will receive information about these candidates and have the
opportunity to set up interviews. If we find the right employee for you, you
will then be invoiced for the fee. Personnel Staffers does not assess any fees
to the applicants and we advise candidates that Direct Hire positions available
through Personnel Staffers may require signing an agreement with the hiring
company outlining the terms and conditions of employment.

What
is your Payrolling service? Payrolling is a service, whereby, you
find the employee you want to hire and then have Personnel Staffers process
all pay checks for that employee. In a payroll situation, we cover unemployment,
worker's compensation and payroll taxes. In essence, this person is considered
a Personnel Staffers employee and is responsible for submitting a time sheet
to us for processing. Your company is invoiced weekly following the actual week
worked. Our invoices are due upon receipt.
If you have an employee that you would like to payroll, it will be necessary
for him/her to come to our office to complete the proper paperwork and pick
up timesheets. This employee can start working immediately after the proper
paperwork is completed. You will also be requested to sign off on a job order
which specifies the duties of the position, the associate's name, your bill
rate, work days and times, etc.
