Policies

Although we are sometimes thought to be a temporary staffing service, the reality is 90% of our assignments are temp-to-hire opportunities. All job offers through PERSONNEL STAFFERS, INC. are client paid. You may accept an offer of employment after working 500 hours at no expense to you or the client. If you wish to accept an offer of employment before the end of 500 hours, the client must agree to a buy-out based upon the number of hours you have already worked at that assignment. Before you accept any offer of permanent employment, you must notify PERSONNEL STAFFERS.

Holiday Pay:
The following six (6) holidays per year will be recognized by PERSONNEL STAFFERS as paid holidays if they fall on a Monday through Friday (Saturday and Sunday holidays will not be paid as they are not considered as part of a regular work week):

• New Year’s Day• Memorial Day• Fourth of July
• Labor Day• Thanksgiving Day• Christmas Day

NOTE: To be eligible for holiday pay, you must be on assignment for an average of 28 hours for 13 consecutive weeks: AND, you must be on assignment the week in which the holiday falls.

Vacation hours in the holiday week DO NOT qualify as hours worked.

Should the client have additional paid days off (before or after the actual holidays listed above), those days are not considered as “paid” holiday hours by Personnel Staffers and should not be listed as such on your timecard.

TAXES: If you are a resident of Peters Township, North Strabane Township or the City of Pittsburgh, your wage tax will be deducted from your paycheck and forwarded to your municipality. If you are NOT a resident of Peters Township, North Strabane Township or the City of Pittsburgh, you are responsible for payment of your wage tax to your municipality. If you are not already paying your own wage tax to your municipality, we strongly urge you to contact your municipality to register your name and social security number to avoid interest and penalty charges for any late payments.
